The ATO Spring/Summer Travel Schedule – Join Us at One of These Great Upcoming Events
Every spring the team at All Things Open not only hosts Open Source 101, but we attend a good number of events.
The reasons are simple: To support the community by creating educational and networking opportunities, and to help out wherever and however we can.
There are so many great events being hosted by so many great people, we figure the least we can do is show up, help out, and get the word out in every way possible.
We encourage you to come out and join us at the following local and not-so-local events throughout the remainder of the spring. We’ll greet you with a smile and will most likely have a few spare t-shirts and stickers available.
You can find us at the following amazing events:
Tuesday, April 17 – Open Source 101 – Columbia, SC
An event we host ourselves, the one-day conference will be the second in a series hosted this spring. Hundreds of technologists and decision makers will attend and content will cover the technologies and processes foundational to open source, open tech, and the open web. Just a few of the companies participating include: Red Hat, GitHub, Microsoft, Walt Disney Company, PayPal, Redis Labs, IBM, Percona, VMWare, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Lending Tree, and many more.
Tuesday, April 17 – East Coast Game Conference – Raleigh, NC
It will be a busy Tuesday as we pull double-duty, but it’s well worth it as we attend and support this very cool conference hosted by Walter Rotenberry and his team. It’s the largest gathering of video game professionals on the east coast of the U.S. and we’ll have a booth and will be giving away t-shirts and other swag. We have also partnered with the team at Red Hat to deliver a fantastic workshop on open source gaming tools.
Thursday, May 17 – ATO RTP meetup – Open Data & Open Government: A revolution is afoot – Raleigh, NC
In order for government to be more accountable, transparent and innovative, government and data must be “open”. This special edition meetup will feature the technologists and decision makers responsible throughout the Triangle and the region.
Thursday, June 21 – Friday, June 22 – We Rise – Atlanta, Georgia (Use the code “ato-15” for 15% off!)
Hosted by our friends Women Who Code ATL, this is a fantastic event focused on growing and showcasing women in technology. The event features women and allies of all genders doing amazing work from all over the world.
Saturday, July 14 – Sunday, July 15 – Community Leadership Summit – Portland, OR
2018 will be our 3rd year attending and supporting this tremendous event hosted by our good friend Jono Bacon. The Community Leadership Summit brings together community leaders, organizers and managers and the projects and organizations that are interested in growing and empowering a strong community. The event pulls together the leading minds in community management, relations and online collaboration to discuss, debate and continue to refine the art of building an effective and capable community.
