Open Source in Government: What We Have Learned

2019 was hailed at the beginning of the year as the Year of Open Source, but Open Source has been around for decades. How has Open Source changed? One way Open Source has made an impression, particularly in 2018, was in its presence in government. With the launch of Code.ca.gov and the continued success of Code.gov (5000 open source and government-reuse projects, and climbing), governments on all levels have embraced Open Source.
