Jonathan Looney manages a development team at Netflix responsible for maintaining the operating system which runs on the OCAs. He is a FreeBSD committer active in the transport protocols area.

Jonathan has worked in technology for all of his adult life. He has worked in many different roles, including education, software testing, software development, and technical management. And, he has worked for a variety of organizations with different needs: a major university, an ISP, a major equipment network equipment manufacturer, and a large content-distribution network. This diverse experience gives Jonathan a wide perspective on the way technology interacts in different settings.
