Jocelyn Matthews
Storj Labs
Jocelyn Matthews is Community Manager at Storj Labs, a company focused on decentralized cloud object storage. Her focus there is to grow a vibrant ecosystem to which people bring their best selves. Jocelyn was previously a faculty member of the California college system, after which she taught coding to underserved youth in Oakland. She is a former Rosberg-Geist Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Center for African Studies. Her ethnographic social research received funding from the Sultan Grant for Arab Cultural Studies; UC Berkeley Ctr. for Race and Gender Studies; HASTAC; CITRIS (the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society) and National Science Foundation (NSF). She is an active member of the Bay Area Black Designers group and Elpha.
