Multiple Workshops / Extended Sessions to be Featured in 2019
We take feedback provided on post-event surveys seriously, and after the 2018 event one thing was clear – a good percentage of attendees enjoy extended sessions and workshops.
To that end, we’re happy to feature a good number in 2019:

- Developer Workflow Automation with GitHub Actions, hosted by GitHub (1.5 hours, 10:45 am EST, Congressional Ballroom B at Marriott)
- Plan, Build and Run Cloud-native Applications for Digitally Driven Businesses, hosted by WSO2 (1.5 hours, 10:45 am EST, Chancellor Room)

- Writing Tutorial: Using blogging and great documentation to grow your open source project (3 hours, Congressional Ballroom A at Marriott, 2:15 pm ET)

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15:

- Developer Workflow Automation with GitHub Actions, hosted by GitHub (1.5 hours, 10:45 am ET, Chancellor Room at Marriott)
- Deploying and Scaling Your First Cloud Application (1.5 hours, State Ballroom A at Marriott, 10:45 am ET)
- Using Istio (1.5 hours, State Ballroom B at Marriott, 10:45 am ET)
- Big Data Made Easy with Spark (1.5 hours, State Ballroom B at Marriott, 2:15 pm ET)
- Programming in Kotlin (3 hours, State Ballroom A at Marriott, 2:15 pm ET)
Important items to keep in mind regarding extended sessions:
- Separate registration is required for three (3) workshops – Open Distro for Elasticsearch – Hack Day – hosted by Amazon, MongoDB extended training, and Vue Vixens Workshop – Vuex.
- For the remainder, seating is available on first-come, first-served basis.
- If you attend an extended session/workshop, please plan to attend for the entire duration of the session. You might be keeping others from attending (if you arrive early and get a seat), so please keep this in mind.
- Note the majority of sessions will take place in the Marriott meeting space, which adjoins the Raleigh Convention Center. Signage will be posted around the Convention Center and Marriott clearly marking/directing where sessions will take place. In addition, ATO volunteers will be positioned and directing attendees where they need to go.
