Evening Meetups in 2019: Hyperledger & Istio

In our continuing effort to provide alternative programming options to attendees each evening we’re really excited to announce two (2) great meetups will take place this year.

Please note the following:

• Each will begin after All Things Open programming wraps up each day
• Separate registration is required, to allow for accurate attendance estimates (for materials, any food/beverage that might be served, etc.). Registration links are included in each description.
• Both are free to attend, assuming you arrive at the Convention Center at 5:30 pm EST or later. If you arrive prior to 5:30 while All Things Open programming is in session and ask to enter the conference space, you will be expected to register.

Monday evening, October 14

Event: Hyperledger(at)AllThingsOpen

Times: Doors open at 5:45 pm EST. Meetup is from 6:00 – 7:00 pm EST

Room/location: 302A (3rd floor, left side of the Convention Center)

Short description: For all of the folks who will be attending the All Things open conference, we will be holding a meetup at the convention center after the first day. The event will allow folks who are interested in open source enterprise blockchain technology to connect and learn about the Hyperledger Project. David Huseby of the Linux foundation will provide an overview of the Hyperledger Greenhouse, followed by presentations from local companies who are working with Hyperledger Technology.

You do not have to be registered for the conference to attend this meetup. If you are not registered to attend All Things Open, you can enter the convention center after 5:45 pm ET to attend the meetup. However, if you want to spend your day learning about all things open source, you can visit the All Things Open registration page to get tickets.

Tuesday evening, October 15

Event: Istio Meetup at All Things Open

Times: Doors open at 5:30 pm EST. Meetup is from 5:45 – 7:30 pm EST

Room/location: 302A (3rd floor, left side of the Convention Center)

Short description: Want to learn more about what service mesh is, when to use one and what the benefits are? Join us for a meetup on Istio mesh following the quarterly release in September.

We will be joined by engineers in the Istio projects to advocates working with end users and ecosystem partners presenting and demoing all things Istio.
