ATO Continues Commitment to Women in Technology – Partners with Three Organizations
All Things Open is proud to announce our partnership with three leading Women in Technology organizations. This continues our commitment to promoting and encouraging more women to join and contribute to the open source community and supporting them once they do. It is something we feel very strongly about.
The three world-class organizations include:
Women in Technology International – WITI is the premiere global organization empowering women in business and technology to attain their professional goals and dreams. With a global network of smart, tech-savvy women, WITI has powerful programs and partnerships that provide connections, resources, opportunities and a supportive environment. Since 1989, WITI has delivered value to individuals, small businesses, and corporations.
National Center for Women & Information Technology – The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) is a non-profit community of more than 600 universities, companies, non-profits, and government organizations nationwide working to increase women’s participation in computing and technology. NCWIT equips change leaders with resources for taking action in recruiting, retaining, and advancing women from K–12 and higher education through industry and entrepreneurial careers.
Girl Develop It Raleigh/Durham – “Girl, Develop It!” began as a call to action for women, by women who were tired of the low representation of women in tech, and wanted to make a difference. The organization was founded in New York City in 2010 by Vanessa Hurst and Sara Chipps. Today, Girl Develop It chapters are building strong, empowered communities in 46 cities, representing 35,000+ members nationwide who are changing their lives through learning to code with us.
