All Things Open now a Certified B Corporation
Over the last 5+ years we’ve sent you a lot of announcements. For example, new events during ATO like the Start-Up Pitch Competition, Lightning Talks, and the Hardware/IoT Expo. We’ve also announced new brands and the event series Open Source 101. And don’t forget about the superstar and first time speakers.
Today, we’ve announced something brand new…and big.
All Things Open is now a Certified B Corporation®.
What does that mean and why does it matter?
It means we’ve met higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. It matters because there really is a better way of doing business, one that is very important to us.

For us, pursuing B Corp certification has been a long journey. We have worked for more than 1.5 years to obtain this certification and many, many hours were spent collecting, documenting and presenting data to verify our continuing dedication and commitment to existing and future community members.
It was worth every hour invested. And we look forward to the best ATO conference ever this year!
