2019 Poster: Available to the first 50 to request

Update: The posters have been claimed but keep an eye out for more poster giveaways in the future!

Keeping with tradition, we’ll again make an All Things Open promotional poster available to those wanting to promote the conference, or just collect a really nice memento.

And this year we’re doing things a little differently.

Instead of the traditional 11×17 version, this year’s poster will be 20 x 30 full color, and will be screen printed utilizing 4-5 spot colors. In short, it will be nicer and more of a collectible.

And because it will be nicer, we’re going to limit availability to the first 50 to request a copy. Anyone interested should send an email to [email protected], subject line “2019 Poster Request”. Include your name and mailing/shipping address.

The Poster Itself

The idea behind this year’s poster is to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the Apollo 11 space mission and man first walking on the moon. The poster is an homage to the spirit of exploring new frontiers, which is what we’ve always attempted to do with the conference.

On the back of the poster we’ll include the following verbiage in block letters:

2019 marks 50 years since the Apollo 11 space mission (and man first walking on the moon). This year’s poster is an homage to that spirit of exploring new frontiers and pushing society forward. In a small way, it’s what we’ve tried to do with All Things Open and open source from the beginning. We sincerely thank you for making it possible.

The poster is now close to being complete and ready for the printers. But in the meantime here is the initial artist’s sketch. The final version will look quite different but it should be enough to establish the basic concept.

Update: Here’s the final design!
