2019 Keynotes Announced
As we’ve said from the beginning, keynote speakers and the topics they cover set the overall tone of the event and highlight issues and technologies we feel are important. They’re designed to begin each day with interesting and engaging talks of interest to a wide ranging and general audience.
We feel the 2019 lineup is diverse and dynamic, with each bringing a unique background and approach to the conference. We hope our attendees and community agree.

Monday, October 14
Jono Bacon – Founder, Jono Bacon Consulting, author of the critically-acclaimed The Art of Community and the new book People Powered, a columnist for Forbes and opensource.com, founder of the Community Leadership Summit and Open Collaboration Conferences, and co-founder of Bad Voltage.

Tracy Lee – Co-founder of This Dot Labs, Google Developer Expert, RxJS Core Team member, a Women Techmakers Lead, and a frequent keynote speaker at conferences around the world.

Arun Gupta – Principal Technologist at Amazon Web Services, a prolific writer, author of several books, an avid runner, a speaker at events in 45+ countries, a Docker Captain, a Java Champion, a JUG leader.

Erica Stanley – Engineering Manager for the analytics and integrations teams at SalesLoft, entrepreneur, diversity & inclusion advocate, founder of the Atlanta network of Women Who Code (WWC).

Emma Wedekind – UX Engineer at LOGMEIN, founder and manager of the open-source project Coding Coach, panelist on the podcast JSParty, Egghead.io instructor.

Chris Wright – Chris Wright is vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) at Red Hat. Wright leads the Office of the CTO, which is responsible for incubating emerging technologies and developing forward-looking perspectives.

Kent C. Dodds – World renowned speaker, teacher, and trainer. He is the creator of TestingJavaScript.comand he’s an instructor on egghead.io and Frontend Masters. He’s also actively involved in the open source community as a maintainer and contributor to hundreds of popular npm packages.

Ashley McNamara – Developer Advocate at Microsoft, 20-year tech industry veteran, active chapter leader and mentor within the Women Who Go community and also on the board of the GoBridge foundation.

Kohsuke Kawaguchi – Creator of Jenkins, well-respected developer and popular speaker at industry and Jenkins community events around the world.

Chris Coyier – Creator/builder of CSS-Tricks, a website all about building websites, co-founder of CodePen, a playground for front-end web development, along with Dave Rupert, co-host of a podcast called ShopTalk, speaker at events and workshops all over the world, author of two books: Practical SVG and Digging Into WordPress.
