2018 Start-Up Pitch Competition – 4 semi-finalists to pitch to all-star panel of judges
We started hosting the start-up pitch competition two years ago to demonstrate that “open source, start-ups and investment” don’t have to be mutually exclusive. That many start-ups have chosen an open source business model, and that many start-ups utilize open source in a variety of creative ways.
The 2018 competition will once again prove our point as we’ll feature 4 semi-finalists from the RTP region and from across the U.S with open source at their core.

The 4 semi-finalists will be pitching their companies to a world-class panel of judges, including:
- Joseph Jacks is the Founder and General Partner of OSS Capital
- Sig Mosely, Managing Partner, Mosely Ventures
- Mark Rostick, Investment Director/US, Intel Capital
- Karen LeVert, President, Southeast TechInventures and Ag TechInventures, Inc
The 2018 Start-Up Pitch Competition will take place Monday afternoon, October 22 starting at 12:30 on the main stage in Ballroom B (4th floor).
